Sub. : Membership registration with BSE Administration & Supervision Ltd. (BASL) by existing SEBI registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).
Attention of existing SEBI Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) is drawn to BASL circular no. 20210831-1 dated August 31,2021 informing about the extension of time provided by SEBI for seeking membership of BSE Administration & Supervision Ltd. (BASL).
As informed in the aforesaid BASL circular, SEBI has vide its circular no. SEBI/HO/IMD/IMDI/DOF1/P/CIR/2021/622 dated August 31, 2021 has extended time upto October 31, 2021 for seeking membership of BASL by existing IAs. SEBI has provided the above extension in time after due consideration and existing RIAs are advised to adhere to said timeline in seeking membership of BASL.
Existing RIAs are informed to note that as per aforesaid SEBI circular dated August 31, 2021 in case existing RIAs fail to seek the membership of BASL within the aforesaid timeline they shall be liable for appropriate action including suspension or cancellation of certificate of registration in terms of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 and the regulations framed thereunder.
Accordingly, all SEBI registered Investment Advisers (RIA) who are yet to submit their membership application to BASL are advised to submit the same on BASL membership portal (https://membership.bseasl.com) and obtain BASL membership mandatorily before October 31, 2021.
