Sub. : Investment Advisers (IA) – Revised Process for seeking Membership from BSE Administration & Supervision Ltd. (BASL) and Registration from Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
All Investment Advisers (IAs) may draw attention to Circular Nos. 20210618-01 dated June 18, 2021 and 20210621-01 dated June 21, 2021, issued by BASL in context to the framework and the process to be followed for obtaining the BASL membership / renewal membership by existing
SEBI registered Investment Advisers and new applicants desirous of obtaining registration as Investment Adviser.
Investment Advisers are hereby informed that the membership / registration process is revised with effect from July 19, 2022 onwards. The procedure is as below:
For Investment Adviser Registration :
(a) The applicant may approach BASL and submit their Membership Application Form online through BASL online membership module, the link is https://membership.bseasl.com/
(b) BASL has on its aforesaid online membership module uploaded the SEBI – SI Portal (Guidelines Manual) containing the list of documents and sample declarations to be provided.
(c) The Form A of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 are to be filled in by the applicant physically and submitted to BASL to email id [email protected], along with the documents/declarations as provided in the aforesaid SEBI – SI Portal guidelines Manual, within 7 days of applying for Membership.
(d) BASL based on the above BASL membership application, Form A of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 and documents/declaration shall process the application and inform the applicant to apply in SEBI SI Portal.
(e) In case any document or declaration is not found to be in order by BASL, the same shall be intimated to the applicant by BASL through email ([email protected])
(f) The applicant may seek the status of their applications through the same email id and/or contact numbers provided below
For Investment Adviser Renewal :
(a) Applicant may approach BASL for renewal of their membership / registration after paying renewal fees to SEBI.
(b) Applicant need to provide the one sets of the details / documents / declarations as mentioned in SEBI – SI Portal (Guidelines Manual) [available on BASL online membership link module https://membership.bseasl.com/ ) to BASL within 7 days of applying for renewal membership and also pay the relevant membership renewal fees to BASL.
(c) Based on the details/documents/declarations provided by applicant and receipt of BASL renewal fees BASL shall process the renewal application and intimate SEBI about the same.
(d) BASL shall forward the details/documents/declarations submitted by applicant to SEBI.
(e) SEBI shall issue the renewal Certificate on receipt of all relevant documents from BASL.
All other guidelines/provisions as mentioned in aforesaid BASL circular Nos. Circular Nos. 20210618-01 dated June 18, 2021 and 20210621-01 dated June 21, 2021 remain unchanged.
